Heather Elliott has been telling herself stories for forever, although it took her an embarrassingly long time to figure out that she could write them down. After flirting with a few creative writing courses in college, she got serious about earning a PhD in children’s literature, on the assumption that there’s no better way to find out how something works than to cut it open and autopsy the insides. Having received a diploma testifying to her grisly proficiency, she now spends her time writing and defending the Oxford comma. She is represented by Marlene Stringer.
